The instructors are fully qualified and Department for Transport Approved, they have completed criminal record checks and have agreed to the code of practice. The company is flexible and has a strictly no smoking policy. The automatic car is fitted with a variety of adaptations including: both over ring and half under ring accelerator controls as well as the more conventional push/pull hand controls, these allow people with limited or no leg function to continue driving. A left foot accelerator is available for those with no function in the right leg and steering balls and Lodgeson secondary controls allow people to steer and operate the indicators, wiper & washers, headlamp dip & flash and the horn with only one hand. Vehicles can also be fitted with pedal extensions to enable persons of small stature to drive in comfort. For able bodied drivers though the car can still be driven as a standard automatic with conventional controls. The firm provides customers with a tailored course of driving lessons and both the automatic and manual vehicles are fitted with dual controls for safety.
