Disability Driving Instructors

I am a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (DVSA ADI Fleet Registered) This means that I am not only licenced to deliver driver training in cars for reward, but also specifically qualified and accredited to deliver driver training to people who drive for a living. My experience includes many years working as a driving instructor and driver training manager for various emergency services, as a result I have a great deal of experience in the advanced driving and blue light driving arenas. I hold a range of commercial driving qualifications including HGV 1 and Dangerous Goods Licences (ADR) I am also a motorcyclist and military veteran. My adapted automatic training car is fitted with: left/right foot accelerator, pull/push hand controls, steering ball and Lodgesons wireless controls. These adaptions can give the freedom of driving to people with no function in their lower limbs or a combination of upper / lower limb weakness. I provide driving support for clients with special needs, learning difficulties and anxiety as well as those with physical challenges. This support ranges from getting people through the driving test or getting them back on the road after illness or injury.
