Find a specialist driving instructor

Sharon Hanks

I offer AUTOMATIC lessons throughout the Isle of Wight.
I’ve been a driving instructor since 2003, teaching in and around London. Before moving to the Isle of Wight in 2016, I achieved the QEF standard for teaching people with disabilities and now teach in an automatic car that can be adapted for you with the latest technology to assist you if you require the use of: – 1. A steering ball. 2. Remote secondary controls (Lodgeson). 3. A left foot accelerator. The car I currently teach in has an electric handbrake too. My qualifications also include deaf awareness instruction for those who have hearing impairments and can lip read. Helping people with disabilities to drive safely has been the most rewarding work I have ever done, whether you are a new driver wishing to get a full driving licence, an older driver needing to pass a Motability or DVLA assessment to have your licence reinstated, whether you are newly disabled and need familiarisation training with different adapted controls that you are using for the first time or if you would just like some refresher lessons after not driving for a long while, please do not hesitate to contact me to have a chat about lessons and to discuss your requirements.
